
Jaisalmer: The India-Egypt joint special force exercise Cyclone-III culminated at the Mahajan Field Firing Range on Feb 23 after 14 days of rigorous joint training demonstrating their combat prowess and supremacy. The exercise facilitated both special forces to practise counter-terrorism operations, combat medical skills, demolition skills, and Special Heliborne Operations (SHBO) in a collaborative environment.
The exercise progressed through three distinct phases. The initial phase encompassed military exhibitions and tactical interaction, while the second phase comprised IED/CIED, fast roping, and combat first aid. The final phase incorporated a joint tactical exercise focusing on raid execution and hostage rescue scenarios. Throughout the exercise duration, Indian special forces exemplified exceptional professional standards, tactical expertise, and military discipline, garnering high acclaim from the Egyptian army.
Both contingents showed satisfaction upon exercise completion, particularly regarding the benchmarks achieved during its execution. The exercise marked a significant milestone in the longstanding bond of friendship between India and Egypt, bolstering the commitment of both nations towards enhancing their strategic partnership.
